A new generation of organic farmers is applying innovation in agroforestry to respect, regenerate, and empower their land and their communities.
Arbres d’Avenir invests in forward-thinking farms who integrate trees into their agricultural practices.
Developed by leading social business PUR Projet in collaboration with AccorHotels, CDC Biodiversité, Fermes d’avenir and Blue Bees, the annual contest awards financial prizes to 30 laureates to be invested in agroforestry endeavors. Its stated objective is to create stronger ties and collaboration among producers, industry partners, and consumers.
We went on a seven-day, 3000 km road trip across France to photograph ten of the laureates of the contest and document their commitment to innovative and environmentally-responsible practices. Certain portraits also imagine the beautiful impact trees planted by the laureates will have.
